“I can’t imagine where Ethan and I would be without ChildCareGroup.

When I got pregnant at 13, I remember feeling like I had no hope left. But when I went to my first sonogram, I saw Ethan and I told myself ‘I’m going to take care of you no matter what. I know I’m young, but I’ll figure it out. I’ll love you and I will not let you go.’

I was so excited when I found the Bock Center and I enrolled Ethan in the program when he was three- years-old. Being a single mom with little support, ChildCareGroup showed me how to be involved in Ethan’s life and since he’s been at the center, I’ve seen such an improvement in him. It’s an amazing feeling to know that my child is learning all day while I’m able to work and attend school.

I am proud to say that with ChildCareGroup’s support, I was able to graduate high school at 17 with my high school diploma and my associate’s degree. Now I’m taking college classes, working two jobs, and Ethan is in his last year at the Bock Center getting prepared for kindergarten.

To everyone who supports ChildCareGroup, thank you. You helped change mine and Ethan’s lives forever.”

Laura Dominguez was nervous when she realized she needed to put her 2.5-year-old son, Joshua, in child care. But it didn’t take long for her to realize it was an impactful necessity.

“I was able to work, cleaning houses, buildings, helping people put teams together. I would not have been able to do any of that if I had not had childcare,” she says. “It’s hard to find childcare that has good food, really feels like home, the atmosphere, the teachers.”

And that’s what her family found at ChildCareGroup Bock in Bishop Arts (which closed for relocation in 2018). Their second son, Joe, would also go to the center later.

“We’re just grateful because we wouldn’t have been able to afford it,” she says. “I was able to get them used to going to school, waking up, socializing, having fun. It was just a blessing for us. This really helped me to just make new friends at the center, volunteer, meet people, and also just have them be involved with a really good childcare, that was just awesome. They’re always learning.”
